FREE PRESSURE CANNER GAUGE TESTING- Are you planning to use your pressure canner to preserve this summer’s bounty of fresh vegetables? Over time, the dial gauge on your pressure canner can become inaccurate. This can cause you to either under-process your food, which is a food safety concern, or over-process your food, which could affect food quality. Colorado State University Extension recommends yearly testing of your pressure canner gauge before the start of canning season. Call our office at 970-641-1260, or email Erin Durant at erin.durant@colostate.edu to schedule an appointment for a free pressure canner gauge test!
