YOUR OLD COMPUTER WANTED: I refurbish old computers and give them to kids and those who otherwise could not afford one. I use Iolo Drive Scrubber to wipe clean the hard drive before loading Windows to guarantee security. I do not need real old printers or CRT monitors. I CAN use LCD monitors, even those that are broken. Former Sr. Systems Analyst in academic computing. I really need laptops, even if they are broken. Many thanks to those kind enough to donate items. WRITING CONTEST WITH CASH PRIZES ENDS NEXT MONTH: If you're planning to enter the six-word novel writing contest sponsored by Blue Moon Books of Crested Butte and the C.B. News, here's how it's done. Submit a maximum of three stories on line to johnnapier55@gmail.com no later than September 15th. The challenge, of course, is to communicate a story of sorts in no more than six words. A short title is allowed, and it does not count in the word total. A cash prize of $25 will be awarded to both the adult winner and to the young person winner (12 years old or younger). When school bus lights are flashing RED you are required to stop. Students may be crossing the roadway. You must remain stopped while the RED lights are flashing. Please be advised the consequences for not stopping for RED lights can be severe! Drivers will pull over after student stops to allow traffic to pass when it is safe to do so. It is legal for motorists to pass a school bus when they are pulled over and the student lights are not flashing.
